Two more players representatives announced

The board of trustees of the DBE charity Trust would like to announce that Daniel Adams has joined the committee as the Learning Disability (LD’s) Player Liaison Representative and will enhance the new strong management team as we re-build the DBE for the “New Normal”.

 

DBE Trustee David Stott will be the link between the Members representative and the DBE board.. 

DBE August Championships Bonus Ball Draw

The month of August sees DBE championships Bonus Ball draw 

all winners will receive £100

We would like to thank everyone who supported the bonus bowl and helped us to raise another £840 for the DBE Charity Trust.. “Bowls is truly a Sport for All” 

 

 

 

 

 

DBE seeks Ambassadors

Ambassador is an important part of any organisation and as Disability Bowls England grows, enthusiastic ambassadors in local areas will play a big part in raising awareness and moving the sport forward..

Ambassadors:-

  • Promote DBE in a positive and enthusiastic manner
  • Attend local “Try Bowls”, “Open Days” “Matches & Competitions”
  • Get to know local clubs,distribute posters & infornation
  • Find out what open comps events are being held locally
  • Encourage clubs to host a match for local members (could be as small as 2 triples)
  • Provide Development Officer with reports & photos for website/facebook/twitter
  • Share Facebook & Twitter postings
  • Look Out for opportunities to raise awareness and encourage local people/businesses to sponsor events
  • look for 5k/10k runs,swims or walks etc…for a “Disability Bowls Buddy” to enter and raise fu nds

The new board at Disability Bowls England seeks volunteers ambassadors in all areas of England to become the face of the association at club/county level.

Ambassadors will have the support of the Development Officers and Although this is a volunteer role,travel expenses may be paid subject to prior approval.

We are looking for volunteer Learning Disabled Player to join and complete our Members Representative committee as the LD Player Liaison Representative. 

Your role will include being the first point of contact for LD Members who wish to raise a point or issue with the DBE Board and be a part of the return to “New Normal” working group.. 

You will be also required to attend two full Board/Committee zoom meetings a year and the AGM.. 

If you feel you can help us as the DBE grows at a great pace and prepares for the return to the New Normal, we would love to hear from you..
