The first SE Region Event was held at Sutton Bowling Club where the Chairman Tony Wills, his members and staff made everyone feel very welcome.
Unfortunately due to heavy rain in the days before the event, coaching had to take place indoors. However, the excellent indoor facilities and blue carpet allowed players to enjoy quality individual and team coaching.
It was a shame that posters advertising the event had not been displayed in as many clubs as we would have wished resulting in players not knowing about this opportunity. However, players that attended enjoyed the day, benefited from the coaching and heard about the opportunities Disability Bowls England can offer.
