Bowls Bodies Commit to Supporting and Developing Inclusion

We are proud of the inclusive nature of the sport of bowls.

The Love Fisher Brown Award is organised annually to highlight good practice in the provision of disabled participation across our sport by clubs, coaches and individual members.

However, the unprecedented nature of 2020 has had a significant impact on the day to day running of clubs and prioritisation of resources at all levels of our sport.

The Bowls Disability Steering Group, which consists of representatives from Bowls Development Alliance, Disability Bowls England, Bowls England, English Indoor Bowling Association and British Crown Green Bowling Association, has therefore agreed to suspend the Love Fisher Brown Award for 2020.

We remain committed to supporting our clubs and networks in continuing to develop inclusivity across the sport for all participants, volunteers and coaches and look forward to hearing about these in 2021 for the next Love Fisher Brown award.
